This upgrade kit boosts all Tiller Driven 15hp Mercury outboards (made since 2006) to 20hp. Installation is easy, you simply swap out the carburetor with our 20hp carburetor and the propeller with our higher pitched propeller that takes full advantage of the extra horsepower.

From top to bottom the BF15 is an elegant looking engine that will complement any boat or inflatable.
With this optional four-blade power thrust propeller (unique to Honda engines of this size) you can attach the motor to a larger and heavier vessel – like a sailboat. They make a very effective ‘kicker’ motor. more

I can't find anything different between these two engines other than the carberator.
The manifolds, ignition, block, head, and crank are the exact same part #. Even the factory prop is the same.

This 20hp upgrade carburetor fits all Yamaha 15hp 4-Stroke outboards made since 2007. The 15hp Yamaha is a detuned 20hp outboard - all other parts aside from the carburetor are the same. This carburetor will unlock the additional 5hp that your outboard is already capable of.
We offer 1 and 2 year extended warranties on many of our items. If you purchase an extended warranty and have an issue within 1 or 2 years of the base warranty expiring, simply contact us and we'll send out a replacement as well as a return label to send the broken item back to us. Your extended warranty details can be looked up by name, phone number or address - no need to keep any paperwork or receipts! more
