Parking: The Rhode Island Convention Center (RICC) offers a parking facility that is easily accessible from all major highways and is connected to RICC, the Dunkin’ Donuts Center, the Omni Hotel and the Providence Place Mall. A non-profit organization named after the late C. Thomas Clagett, Jr., a U.S. Navy, WW II veteran who loved to sail on the Chesapeake Bay. In his youth, Tom suffered temporary paralysis from a bout of meningitis; an experience that left him with a deep respect for the accomplishments of people with disabilities.
There is nothing more valuable than hands-on training to make you a better, safer, and more confident boater! Take the helm of a powerboat with a professional USCG-licensed captain who will lead you through engaging clinics and give you strategies to help improve your skills and ability and make your time on the water fun. All experience levels are welcome. You will never feel pressured to join Freedom Boat Club or to buy a boat because Freedom Boat Club instructors are professional captains, not salespeople. The courses are offered all four days of the Show. We recommend registering online in advance as classes are limited and sell out quickly. See below for details.
