Additionally, can radiator hose be used for fuel? Coolant hose is not safe for fuel. Some radiator hoses have large springs inside them to ensure they do not collapse. A radiator hose can collapse as the hot coolant cools, creating a vacuum. Radiator hoses is much larger in diameter and even thinner that heater hose.

Small engines on your lawnmower, ATV or motorcycle use a gas-resistant vinyl tubing called Tygon. It is usually clear or transparent yellow in color and is preferred over the clear vinyl tubing you can purchase for your beer keg tap or for use as a wiring loom.

The best solution is a material called PTFE. That stands for polytetrafluoroethylene—a plastic material that is best known as Teflon in one specific variation. This material is impervious to the degenerative effects of fuel that also creates a vapor barrier so fuel vapors cannot leak past.

Yes, it can be used. No, it's not the best way to run fuel to the carb. That being said, I ran rubber 3/8" fuel injection grade line from the hard line on the frame to the fuel pump, then around the front of the engine compartment to the drivers side, & then to the carb inlet of my 6cyl. here

Beside above, is vinyl tubing oil resistant? Vinyl Tubing. Vinyl tubing is clear, durable, and lightweight. Use flexible vinyl tubing to transport liquids, gases, and some solids. Chemically resistant to alkalies, alcohol, caliphate, hydrocarbons, oils, and some acids. more

Most fuel line is made of black nitrile with nylon cords between the layers for strengths. This hose is typically good for pressures up to 25 psi, beyond that you need EFI hose. Standard fuel line is capable of supporting gasoline, diesel, biodiesel, ethanol, and oil.

I can't easily find the grey opaque fuel lines for the inside of my 8HP Honda BF8A, that run from the fuel connector to the pump to the fuel filter to the carb. I will eventually be at a boat supply store to get the proper hose, but not now. It seems to be 3/16 ID. I want to replace it as the prev owner had it sitting for a few years, and want to make sure no varnish, dried rubber, etc. will cause me problems.

Is it safe to temporarily use the clear vinyl tubing from Home Depot to test the motor, in my basement "test tank" (aka garbage can full of water)? Could use of this cause any damage? The lines don't seem to touch any of the motor's block, where maybe heat would be an issue.
