Things aren’t any less stylish inside the yacht. Venice-based firm Nuvolari Lenard is responsible for the interior’s sporty-yet-elegant feel—curving lines awash in white and wood. There are three bedrooms, each of which feature their own ensuite facilities, and the boat can comfortably sleep six and accommodate up to 15. Because this is a Lexus, the powertrain is no slouch, either. the The LY 650 is powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS engines, which are each capable of outputting up to 1,350 hp. This impressive powertrain allows the boat to reach speeds of up to 31.4 knots. It’s also equipped with cutting-edge tech, like “LY-Link,” which delivers a real-time update of the voltage, fuel and water levels. It also detects abnormalities and send alerts when maintenance is needed.
You might think the world’s most expensive Lexus is an ultra-luxurious new car, but it’s not. Instead, it’s a performance yacht that’s finally set to go on sale next month.
So what exactly are you getting from the world’s most expensive Lexus? A whole lot. The company’s new boat has a gorgeously flowing carbon fiber exterior that takes its cues from two of its most stylish cars, the LC coupe and LS saloon. As previously reported by Robb Report, its coupe-like profile is an attempt by the company to bring its “L-finesse” automotive design language to the water. Lexus first tried its hand at yacht making in 2017 with the one-off 42-foot Sport Yacht Concept, which was made in collaboration with Wisconsin boatmaker Marquis Yachts. The two companies have again teamed up for the LY 650, which officially launched earlier this week in Boca Raton, Florida.
This is the LY 650, a first luxury yacht by the Japanese car company Lexus. It follows on from the company's Sport Yacht Concept and will be the first production vessel to express the marque’s “L-finesse” design theme on water. Boat builder Marquis-Larson Boat Group will construct, sell and service the vessel when it goes into production in 2019.

Lexus has been quite brave lately, letting loose and exploring the art of craft with a strong Japanese twist as seen with the latest family of cars. The flagship LS 500h, driven recently, for instance, incorporates some unique features such as the hand-pleated door panels and optional glasswork based on the ancient Japanese “Kiriko” technique . With this latest LY 650, Lexus will continue to examine its design identity, utilizing its heritage and showcasing the Lexus Takumi artisan skills, especially with the interior. Executive vice president, Shigeki Tomoyama, says his desire is to, “present a dream-like vision of the luxury lifestyle; one where the Lexus Yacht expands the potential of Lexus mobility to the ocean.”
Lexus is known for its high-end cars. But now, the luxury automaker is taking its first foray into the business of yachts.
While renderings of the yacht's design were made available last year, the Boca Raton debut marked the first time a finished model has been made public. It also appeared at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, which kicked off on October 30 (the same day sales launched for the LY 650). here
The company held the world premiere of its flagship luxury yacht, the 65-foot Lexus LY 650, in Boca Raton, Florida, in September. The sleek watercraft is based on a concept first shown in January 2017, according to the company's press release.

Not all luxury automakers offer insanely luxurious yachts for cruising the oceans of the world. Technically speaking, most of those offerings are little more than a famous automotive badge affixed to a fabulously extravagant boat built by a manufacturer dedicated to things that float.
