Split is more of an apartment place, thus easier to rent apartment for a long term . However, it is possible to find a villa for a long term rent. Thanks to Jozo for a wonderful stay at Villa Tamaris. Everything was just like on the pictures and there is the most amazing water right in front of the door. The house was immaculately clean with everything we needed, the private beach was priceless and the view. oh the view! I highly recommend this accomodation to anyone who wants to enjoy Dalmatia/Croatia in a nice and family-oriented setting while being able to access a lot of the amazing sites in beautiful Dalmatia (for this a car is a necessity). Klek is close enough to walk to the bakery but far enough to be a little bit away from the busy beach. Jozo and his family are very nice hosts aiming to make their guests feel comfortable. We all enjoyed our many conversations. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!
The house with several apartments is located on a small peninsula. Resulting noise of the busy coast road is not to be heard. Each apartment has its own balcony or terrace. A small private area in front of the house allows to jump into the ocean and to swim around the island with the church-like former lighthouse. Located in the center of south dalmatia we used our time to travel to historic cities like Split, Dubrovnik and Mostar as well as exploring the coast line including nearby islands. Above these formal facts we felt to be personal guests of Jozo. He gave advices for daily needs (restaurants, markets) as well as for excursions. He was present whenever help or explanation was needed.
I have to underline this--> everything is exactly like on the pictures, probably even better in person. Jozo was an amazing and very friendly host! Morning swimming and beautiful view is something that you're gonna fall in love, beside beautiful luxury fully equipped apartment with terrace directly at seaside. We really enjoyed our time there and we only wish that we could stay there longer. Because of that we are definitely coming back to this place as soon as possible. I truly recommend it.

A short distance away are the islands of Hvar, Brac and Korcula, which each offer something new. From the natural beauty of lavender fields, olive groves and vineyards on Hvar; to an Illyrian 3rd century settlement on Brac; there is something for everyone.
