Sailing on solar power only is a challanging feature, that’s why Naval Studio Team has been working on design and calculations to enable this enormous Power Catamaran sail continously with zero emission based on sunpower. Luxtreme 34 CAT has a seperate owner cabin on the seperate upper deck which gives a superior area. Luxtreme 34 Cat is designed for both private and commercial use. In the Charter/commercial design, there are 5 guest cabins, 1 Owner Cabin, 1 pilot house and 4 crew cabins. The Luxtreme 34 CAT has a solar capacity of 210m2 which enables 62kw/hour power generation for drive systems. Luxtreme 34 CAT has 2 x 200 KW electric engines, 200 KWH Lithium Batteries and complete management system of Electric drive powered by the solar panels with a total area of 210m2. In addition, 2 pieces of 44kVa diesel generator supports the propulsion by filling the batteries. Providing 62 kwh solar energy, SolarCat can sail 5 hours at 5,5 knots free. SolarCat can also sail by diesel generators with a total range of 4.000Nm. Combining with both solar and generator, the range becomes unlimited. Luxtreme 34 CAT has an unlimited sailing capacity on 5,5 knots/h cruise speed and she has a max. Speed of 12 knots/h on electric engines. The CMB47 Series boasts a design from Espen Oeino. The next hull (CMB105) is due for delivery in 2019. Notable features are spacious deck areas, particularly on the bridge deck which comes complete with a bar and lovely partially shaded outdoors dining area, as well as plenty of comfortable seating areas. Elsewhere, the sundeck is equally as inviting, with a sizable hot tub to the aft of the deck surrounded by plush sun loungers. At the front of the sundeck, a sophisticated seating area is found with three stone grey sofas positioned around two coffee tables.
