Her engine is a Detroit 6V71 (248HP) engine with 800 hrs since total rebuild. The blower has 200 hours since rebuild. here
TAKE NOTE: She is on the hard and disassembled. Owner wants $80k for the lot and you can work on her in his yard by negotiation.
Designed by John Samson of Samson yachts BC Canada she was built by her professional shipwright owner out of ferro cement overlaid with epoxy cement compound. She was built in Oregon USA and launched in 1999. She complies to the Samsons, N25, USS and British standards for the chemical composition set down for ferro cement construction. With the Portland No. 5 cement she has a compact rating of 2.5 psi maintaining a high elasticity of modulation. As a USA hull she is entitled to "ply" for trade in the USA with a qualified skipper. She has been fully imported into Australia and maintains her USA registration. She currently resides in Bowen QLD on the hard.
After setting basic rigging the owner single handed sailed her to NZ in late 1999 from San Diego over 62 days utilising gaffs and headsails. Arriving in time for the Americas Cup in Auckland. here
