You'll never be able to get a wrench on it and there's probably not enough room to turn a wrench anyway. You should be using a screwdriver, possibly with a long shaft. When I replaced mine I could barely reach the clamps. here

do you have a son or daughter that can reach up there? [links]

there is a hose clamp holding the hose on, but it is impossible to reach, i cannot get a wrench back there and can barely fit my arm and hand. i might need to upload some pictures to make this point sufficeintly, but does anybody who has expierence with this boat have any ways to replace it? more

Had a super specific, new/old stock gauge for my 2002 Maxum 1800sr. Couldn’t believe it. Even had the tech service sticker from the factory. Was clearly brand new, matched my gauges, and worked perfect after installation. Couldn’t be happier. Shipping was super fast also. here

We don't know about you, but at Great Lakes Skipper we are DONE with old man winter. We've had enough and we think you have as well. Here are a couple of simple projects that can be done while the boat is still in the garage.

I bought a new Yamaha outboard from these guys. Shipping went smoothly but the wrong accessory package was included. One phone call to these guys with the number of the installing dealer and parts were expedited and exchanged without my involvement. Mistakes happen, it's how we resolve those mistakes that matters. For those of us who are lucky enough to have a galley on board, food presents another point of contact for insect pests. Keeping your galley clean helps a lot, but even clean kitchens get bugs sometimes. There are some tricks you can try to keep them out or, if they’ve already invaded, to destroy them. more

Yep, the boat holds 50 gallons and, when purchased on the water like I have to, that will probably be about $250 sitting there in the tank. [links]

We may have talked about this before but I couldn't find the topic. My boat sits on a lift all summer, the gas fill is right at dockside which makes it easy for vandals and thieves to get at. Something about my boat sitting out there all week unattended has always made me wonder, not so much about theft, but about mischievious kids simply unscrewing the cap and dumping something in. I've been looking for a locking gas cap that doesn't require me to swap the whole filler neck, well, I found one and thought I would share.

But seriously, you now have me thinking. Mine has, for the most part, sat out all spring and summer since I have owned her, where she is open for any such violent acts. I also have about another 200 boats they could pick to screw with, but your precaution is probably not a bad idea. I wonder if it will fit my 240?
