They are two separate shows that both occur February 13-17, 2020. The total number of combined boats at the two shows is almost 2,000. A separate ticket is required for each show. For convenience, these two tickets can be purchased together as a joint ticket. The joint ticket is the only way to visit both shows with one ticket purchase. Transportation is available to easily shuttle from one show to the other by water taxi or shuttle bus. The Miami International Boat Show is located at the Miami Marine Stadium Park on Virginia Key, with numerous transportation options from downtown, including water taxi and shuttle bus service.

The joint Miami show will allow residents and visitors to streamline their trips to the signature event and participate in a unique experience with never-before-seen attractions and activities. A comprehensive traffic management plan will be developed in collaboration with the City of Miami and Miami Beach to ensure a smooth traffic flow for visitors and the surrounding areas. The MacArthur, Venetian, and Julia Tuttle causeways will offer unrivaled access for guests crossing over to the MBCC, where they will find ample parking on the grounds. Both event locations will have a variety of transportation options for guests, including water taxis, ride share hubs, and public transit modes.
Bringing the events together will offer numerous benefits for exhibitors, visitors, and the greater Miami community, specifically Miami Beach and Downtown Miami. The on-land portion of the event will take place at the newly reimagined Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC), while the featured in-water activities will be offered at Sea Isle Marina, One Herald Plaza and Island Gardens Deep Harbour on Watson Island. The combined event will include several new elements to enrich the experience for attendees, including a live concert series, an expanded educational offering, a digital component, and the return of Miami Dealer Days February 14-15. Miami Dealer Days allow exhibitors to gather at the Miami Beach Convention Center prior to the show, providing a unique opportunity for marine manufacturers to connect and discover partnership and growth opportunities.
New partnership between National Marine Manufacturers Association and Informa Markets unites three South Florida events under one banner
Notably, this partnership translates into an unmatched opportunity for the region’s hospitality and service industry that is eager to bounce back from the devastating ramifications of COVID-19. The NMMA brings visitors from approximately 35 countries around the globe to South Florida annually, and Informa is considered the largest single annual customer to the market, hosting several large-scale exhibitions in the region each year. Historically, the Miami International Boat Show and Miami Yacht Show have attracted hundreds of thousands of attendees to South Florida and generated an estimated combined annual economic impact of $1.34 billion.
The world-renowned Miami Boat Show features over 1,400 new boats and sailboats, yachts and catamarans, powerboats, offshore fishing boats, family cruisers, high-performance boats, and more! Every year the Miami International Boat Show showcases a collection of sailboats and sailing gear, navigational equipment, rigging, and other accessories aimed strictly for sailors, including a wide variety of sailing monohulls and catamarans. Top sailing experts, travel, and charter companies share with visitors their expertise and information on the latest trends in boating during the show’s various sailing seminars. The boat show has a special VIP experience in an air-conditioned indoor space, with complimentary food, drink and entertainment, free WiFi, and an outdoor deck with views of Miami. Luxury vehicles are also featured on this VIP section.
The Miami International Boat Show will take place during the same time as the Miami Yacht Show and Superyacht Miami presented by Informa at One Herald Plaza and Island Gardens Deep Harbour Marina. Collectively, these events are known as Miami Boating Week. Private yacht tenders, water taxis, and shuttle buses are available, connecting the events, resulting in the ultimate boating experience in South Florida. With their locations along Biscayne Bay, both shows can be accessed via dedicated park-and-ride lots and public transportation, including Miami’s Metrorail and new Brightline train service. Healey cites several improvements with the new Miami Yacht Show location, such as 3,500-plus parking spaces, its proximity to Interstate 95 and the NMMA show, and easier movement within the show. “Those are big positives that will benefit attendees,” Healey says. “It’s a win-win for the attendees and the industry. It’ll have a similar look and feel to the Fort Lauderdale show. It makes an awful lot of sense to me. I believe it’s a smart move, and we’re very excited about it.”
“The thing I’m most excited about is that they’re talking to each other — and putting their dollars together and highlighting both shows. I think that’s awesome for everybody,” says Bob Denison, of Denison Yachting, an exhibitor that displays at both shows. “The location change is huge news, for certain, but the fact that both shows are cooperating on the marketing side is just as big.”
The Miami International Boat Show will feature more than 1,400 new boats from 10 to 100 feet, and the Miami Yacht Show and SuperYacht Miami will include more than 500 new and brokerage yachts and superyachts from 40 to 320 feet. here
The Miami Yacht Show’s move prompted organizers to build on some of the collaborative initiatives it had previously introduced, such as offering a combined ticket for people attending both shows and free shuttle bus transportation between the two venues. The joint advertising campaign — “Two Epic Shows. Two Thousand Boats” — began Dec. 1 and was slated to run through both events. Under the partnership, Informa Markets, with direction and guidance from NMMA, takes on management of the in-person experience, while NMMA oversees the digital experience. Additionally, NMMA retains ownership of MIBS, and Informa Markets maintains co-ownership of MYS and Superyacht Miami with the International Yacht Brokers Association.
