The CHARGE light may flash for the following reasons:
The CHARGE lamp may flash fast (multiple times a second) or slow (around 1.5 second intervals), depending on the cause.
Slow flashing occurs if the battery has not been charged for a long time or if the environmental temperature is not suitable for charging the battery. The slow flash should stop after a short while or after the temperature returns to a suitable range between 50°F and 86°F (10°C and 30°C). [links]
Fast flashing indicates a poor connection between the battery and charger or a problem with the battery pack. Remove the battery from the charger and then use a dry cloth or cotton swap to clean the metal contact terminals on the battery. Afterwards, try charging the battery again. If the flashing continues, then the battery may need to be replaced. [links]
i have a minnkota 210 battery charger which is a two bank charger, this is hooked up to a 24 volt system for my trolling motor. each bank is hooked to each battery, now for the problem when i pluged it in the yellow light came on for battery one and for battery two the green light came on. this is telling me that battery one is charging and battery two is fully charged. how can that be on a 24 volt system.
Re: minnkota 210 charger problem
next thing i did was to disconnect the outputs from the charger, this should have lit both red lights telling me to check the connections. what i got was a yellow light on battery one and a red light on battery two. how can it be charging on battery one when it is not hooked up to the battery.iam thinking that i might need a new charger. any information would be grateful.
