The Elgin , was Sears and Roebucks brand name outboard motor. The first Elgin went on sale in 1946. It was a brand new Outboard Motor, engineered and manufactured by the West Bend Outboard Motor Company. The plant was located in Hartford, Wisconsin, the old Kissel auto plant. The Elgin brand name was used from 1946 through 1964. West Bend was the manufacturer from 1946 through 1959. Sears contract did not expire with West Bend until May of 1963. It didn't stop them from changing manufacturers to McCulloch . The Elgin 2 horsepower built by West Bend was still being sold in the early 60's. McCulloch manufactured them from 1959 through 1969. 1959 was the beginning of the mixed production. In 1964 the Elgin brand name was change to Sears, but the outboard was still manufactured by McCulloch through 1969. Please click on model year guide below to fine your engine. Hard core parts for these outboards are getting more difficult to find as time goes on. Many older outboards used common Ignition and Carburetor venders for that period. Discount Marine Parts has Ignition and Carburetor repair kits for most all of these older outboards. If we don't have what your looking for, we have many sources to locate your part. Obviously some parts are just not available. We can sometimes find it used and often we have the part made if there is enough demand. Discount Marine Parts has a large inventory of parts for most brands of American made Outboards, Inboards and Sterndrives. We also have most parts and service manuals available. Thank you for stopping by and please come back!

Unlimited hydroplane racing entered its modern era after World War II. This was when the huge supply of converted aircraft and other types of power sources developed for the war effort became generally available.

For the next four decades, the V-12 Allison and Rolls Royce Merlin were the engines of choice in Unlimited hydroplane racing. (An Allison engine is still being used today by the Ed Cooper U-3 Racing Team, which won the 2003 Gold Cup at Detroit with Mitch Evans driving.)

The first successful three-pointers were the product of the famed Ventnor Boat Works of Ventnor, New Jersey. The father and son design team of Adolph and Arno Apel introduced a craft named MISS MANTEO II at the 1936 President's Cup Regatta in Washington, D.C. A 225 Cubic Inch Class competitor, MISS MANTEO II dominated the 225 Class action at Washington and posted speeds that were embarrassingly close to those turned by the larger and more powerful Gold Cup style hydros. here

Some, like Professor Isabella Ramirez of the University of Missouri, believe that the young woman was suffering from a psychosis and had, at least partially, lost any notion of reality.

According to the Kansas City Missouri Police Department, her baby is the son of a man who died in a car accident in March 2017, and whose body she was supposed to autopsy. They allege that Ms. Burrows sexually abused more than 60 other dead bodies, belonging to males aged from 17 to 71 years of age.

There are currently no laws (state or federal) governing or explicitly outlawing the practice of necrophilia since the corpse is considered human remains and no longer living. Therefore, it is technically legal in the state of Missouri, and Ms. Burrows’ actions are judged as an indecent treatment of a corpse. here

“We opened an investigation into this case in October after we were informed that the suspect may have been sexually abusing corpses,” Police Chief Forté told reporters. “We accumulated enough evidence over the last few months to obtain a warrant for a paternity test on her newborn son. It confirmed our suspicions, that the father of her child was, indeed, a 57-year old veterinarian from Texas who was driving through the county when he had a fatal car accident. All the evidence that we have gathered suggests that he had never met Ms. Burrows before his demise and that he was already dead when the baby was conceived.”
