That’s in spite of the fact that Below Deck cast member Andrew Sturby left one of the portholes open in his room, and sea water was on the floor in one of the first few episodes of the show. Andrew is actually a former Abercrombie and Fitch model; no other deckhand experience was listed in his VH1 bio. Jennice Ontiveros, however, was a deckhand for at least one summer in 2013 in Michigan, and Deckhand Kelley Johnson is a former Marine who worked on a yacht before entering the corporate world. On the show, the crew earns dollars in tips. The amount varies, based on the generosity of the guests on the ship.

There had been some rumblings on the net about another crew that had been hired to do the actual work on the Ohana during the show. It is evident, however, from the cast bios on VH1 that most of the crew members do have some boating experience.

According to Yacht Charter Fleet, the Rhino, formerly the Ohana, can accommodate up to 10 guests. Inside, there’s a master suite, two double cabins and two twin cabins. Other amenities include a waterslide, wave runners, a trampoline, snorkeling gear and more. The yacht can be chartered for either the summer or the winter season.
