It’s literally a piece of cake to load on my car by myself with plenty of room to bring a dog along or lots of gear. Pool noodles are great to use to protect your car if you don't have roof racks. Cut them on one side of the noodle hole and press onto the kayak opening, front and rear. Works great! You can't go wrong with the Old Town regarding its portability.
The anchor is not attached, but it comes with a line to attach to side of the kayak that allows the anchor line to move out of the way of fishing equipment. Kayak is really 12 feet 1 inch overall. Transom is slanted which accounts for the extra inch in length. here
