The G2 scupper plugs offer 75% better drain flow thanks to an all-new drain valve. We then added drain channels to help eliminate even more standing water the may accumulate below the plug top. The self-bailing scupper plugs can only be removed from below by pushing them up and out of place. For your safety you should remove the self-draining scupper plugs prior to entering rough water conditions where the open factory equipped scupper holes can function as designed to drain large amounts of water quickly.

Another kayak in that same size range for a little cheaper is the Perception Pescador Pro 10.
If you're not sold on spending $700+, then look at kayaks like the Pelican Enforcer 120x Angler. It should run around $550 and has a little better seat than most of the cheaper kayaks.
Gonna have to disagree with this. All of it. 12' is not too short for a big guy. Totally dependent on each kayak. The nucanoes are extremely stable. It would be no problem for a big guy. Tracking will suffer in a wider boat, but I think the stability makes up for it unless you're routinely making long trips. more
What's y'all opinion of Nucanoe frontier 12? I swung by pack n paddle today and checked out their stock. Hobies are ridiculously nice but no way I can justify dropping 4k right now. The frontier looks big and stable and is only $1400.
