Pl glue or peanut butter for boat stringers

WOW. What a weekend. I really got in gear and got some stuff done. It is good to feel productive. I ended up adding three bulkheads between the stringer sets and I started to PB all the joints. The factory did not have any support from the inner stringers to the outer, so it should be bullet proof. It is going to be alot more work for me as far as glassing goes, but I do not mind. I tinkered with the PB recipe and found that too much 1/4" chopped fibers creates a mess. Just enough chopped and tons of cabosil was the ticket.
My helpers. For some reason they were by my side all day. here

This is the PB mix I am using over all of the joints. This will help the glass lay across the bend better. You could use PL glue only, but this adds alot of strength. [links]

I was going trough your build thread, how did the stainless plates work on the transom? I will be doing something along those lines for mine as it is pretty weak. By the way, what paint did you use down the centre section? I am going to steal that idea lol looks fantastic.

Updates. More foam and floor coming out. Alost had to cut out the ski locker to get out the junk under the gas tank, will be building a new custom removable locker.

Another last question, where did you get your carpet? I'm trying to stick to a budget but I sure would like to put the nice plush stuff like the factory instead of the one depot indoor/outdoor carpet. more

WD-40 was first used by the military in the '50s to clean up Atlas missile parts. Today, it's used by people everywhere to clean up virtually everything in need of a gleam. But don't go spraying the stuff just anywhere. WD-40 can cause more harm than good to certain household items. The DIY enthusiasts at Stack Exchange chime in.

It seems like WD-40 can be used to lubricate just about any moving metal part. But is this true? Are there instances when WD-40 can be harmful?

The lubricant-like properties of WD-40 come not from the substance itself, but from dissolving components. And the effect doesn't last. [links]
