On longer flights this is especially important. One of our regular clients has chosen a long range Gulfstream G550 in the past. But for a recent longer flight between Europe and Asia, sleeping and cabin space became his top priority. We recommended a Global 6000, which has an exceptionally comfortable double bed, and a wider cabin – allowing him to sleep uninterrupted for 6-7 hours of the flight.
Long range and ultra-long range jets are designed for long haul flights and therefore offer very high levels of comfort for sleeping in the cabin. At the top of this category are models such as the Gulfstream G650ER, the Dassault Falcon 8X and the Bombardier Global 6000.
Slightly larger small to medium jets will also have swivel seating – and the popular Phenom 300 has seats that recline fully into a flat bed position.
But the Global 7500 is not a typical private jet. Complete with a master bedroom, seating for up to 19, and an optional shower, the jet doesn't compromise in any area and is a bonafide leader in its class. Thomas Flohr of VistaJet, one of the newest owners of the aircraft, recently described the aircraft as a "game-changer" in a recent interview with Business Insider regarding the future of private aviation. here
While most are coming straight from Bombardier's factory, one owner is currently selling his Global 7500 with an asking price of $70 million. It's currently the only "pre-owned" Global 7500 for sale and with a clear demand for the aircraft, it likely won't be on the market for too much longer once the pandemic eases up, according to seller Philip Rushton of the aircraft acquisition and sales firm Aviatrade
First delivered to a customer in December 2018, merely a handful of the type are currently roaming the skies, making it one of the most exclusive private jets flying. The jet is a long-range leader with a range of 7,700 nautical miles, more than 200 nautical miles greater than currently offered by rival Gulfstream.

In terms of revenues, large cabin private jets are set to increase the most, from an expected $3.2 billion in transaction value this year to $5.6 billion in 2024. However, the large jets also saw the biggest drop, falling from $4.7 billion in sales in 2019. Sales of midsize jets are expected to increase from $2.1 billion in 2020 to $2.7 billion in 2024. Light jet used sales are set to move from $1.9 billion this year to $2.4 billion in the 5-year horizon.
According to the General Aviation Manufacturers Association, new business jets’ shipments dropped from 516 to 378 for the first three quarters of 2020 compared to the same period last year. here
The oldest aircraft listed is a 2001 Gulfstream G100 with 4,855 hours. The newest aircraft is a 2020 Bombardier Global 7500 delivered just this past quarter. It’s in a 14 passenger configuration, including a bedroom. If you are looking for something a bit smaller, there’s a 2019 Learjet 75 with just 136 hours.
Of the over 60 pre-owned aircraft currently listed for sale on the Jetcraft website, there’s a 2015 Boeing 787-9 with just 16.5 flight hours and six total landings. more
Looking at VIP airliners, Jetcraft predicts 16 transactions in 2021, 17 in 2022, and 18 in 2023 and 2024. The sale of pre-owned large private jets will rise to 321 next year, rise to 385 in 2022, 399 in 2023, and increase to 436 units in 2024. Midsize used jets will spike to 496 in 2021 and continue an upward climb to 529 units in 2022, 549 in 2023, declining slightly to 545 in 2024. Light jets will also see a significant pick-up next year with 1,150 expected transactions, 1,186 in 2022, 1,229 in 2023, and 1,272 in 2024.
