Stand the engine on it's nose. Bolt the engine stand in place. Grab the front of the engine and lift.
Done this with a Volvo redblock (probably 200kg) and it was suprisingly easy.
Lee, wear whatever watch makes you happy, it doesn't make any difference to me.
Edit - you deleted your post.
Why does it bother you what watch i wear? here
Once you are done repairing the engine you need to right click the stand and not the engine shaped outline and then select the red icon with an engine and a minus sign to remove the engine group from the stand. With the group in your inventory you can then right click the engine crane and use the orange icon to add the engine to the car.
When you point the mouse at the upper part of the stand you should see it outline either the entire stand or draw an outline around an engine-like shape.
If it only is around the stand then there is no engine design registered on it and you will need to add an engine group. An engine group is created by using the engine crane to pull an engine out of a car as a group of parts. You will need the garage expansion that adds the second lifter to unlock the crane and once unlocked you need to move it the desired car and right click it to open its menu. Select the red icon to remove the engine from the car, if it says there are parts that need to removed do so and try again. Once you have the engine group, you right click the engine stand and select the orange icon with the engine and a plus sign and then you can select the engine group to mount on the stand. At this point you now have an engine design registered and able to be taken apart and rebuilt as desired in the same way a car can be repaired with the default mode being disassembly. You can switch between disassembly and assembly modes by right clicking and selecting the icons just like with a car.
If there is an outline of an engine on the stand regardless of any parts being there then clicking it will zoom in and activate the default disassembly mode. And as stated above you can switch to assembly mode to add parts, again just like a car, and this includes the ability to add a repaired engine block back onto the stand.
Sorry if that is excessively wordy but I prefer to include more instruction than not enough and it likely has some parts of it you already knew but I included it just in case someone else may find the info useful.
You need to secure your vehicle before you start the process of removing the engine. To secure it and make sure it does not fall on you while you work, you need to raise the car with a jack. Jack up the front of the car and shake it left and right to make sure it is stable and safe.
You have to park your car on a levelled surface as you work and also make sure there is much overhead space for you in case you start lifting. You may also get a camera so that you can be able to capture the process as you disassemble.
It is also possible to detach your vehicle’s engine without a hoist. Before you start disassembling, take a picture so that you will be able to look back at it if you get confused. [links]

Use the right sized bolt and make sure you have plenty of thread engagement. And use a grade five or higher bolt. more
Knowing where to attach the chains is a another tricky issue for the inexperienced. You have to support the engine in the center, which when using a single chain, usually means attaching the chain across the engine diagonally. If you use the driver side head for the front bolt, use the passenger side rear head for the other bolt. Use the minimum amount of chain as well, an engine hoist only has so much lift, and a long chain could max out the lift, requiring you to reset the chains. more
Using a single chain, go across the engine, front to back. This helps stabilize the engine and gives you a central lifting point. more
Even though they carry the same load rating as the fold-up variety, some people consider the sliding-leg stand stronger.
