The top of the Receiver display is relative to its orientation on the raft. In other words, the direction the player is looking when standing in front of the Receiver is the top position of the Receiver display. It is not related to the direction the raft is moving.

When turned on, the Receiver will show nearby points of interests in the form of green and blue dots. Green dots are Large Islands, while blue dots are quest related and require a 4-digit code to be shown. Blue dots are also always shown, regardless of the distance between the raft. The Receiver has a scanning radius of 1250 meters for green dots, but the dot will only show up within the visible radius of 1000 meters.

Researched with the Blueprint: Receiver at the Research Table. After crafting and placing the Receiver, the player must also research, craft and place three Antennas. Before signals can be received, the Receiver must be placed at least one full floor above the foundation and Antennas must be placed on the same floor as the Receiver, or one half level above or below. Turning on the Receiver requires a Battery, which is continuously depleted as long as the Receiver remains switched on. One battery charge is used every ten seconds, so a full Battery (of 50 charges) is depleted in 500 seconds, i.e. 8 minutes and 20 seconds.

To make the smallest design setup for a functional receiver, requires the receiver to be placed on a two high floor. By placing the receiver on one foundation then expanding out to the left and right of the receiver by two foundations and lastly placing three foundations behind the receiver with Antennas on all three sides will provide signals to the player. Ahh…the drawbacks to playing “early access” games.

I’m the type of person who enjoys his own achievements. For instance, can I fill up a large chest with nothing but copper ingots? Strange, I know. But it all boils down to what you get out of the game.

Survival games like Raft have the capacity to keep players engaged through building bigger and better vessels. It’s one of the reasons why so many people still play Minecraft to this day. here

Tangaroa City is a massive location that consists of a metallic, circular foundation topped by a hexagonal-patterned glass and metal dome. Inside the dome is a complete city, full of apartment buildings that can be explored, shops such as a barber or hamburger restaurant, and a new type of enemy: the Butler Bot. The city is the most complex location in the game by far, both in terms of the amount of intricate places to explore and puzzles to solve. more

To be completed, the city requires being explored pretty much in full, as well as backtracking to previously visited locations with newfound supplies. Also, for the first time, a location in the game offers the possibility to restock on vital supplies like water or food, without having to go back to the raft, via a vending machines service that uses Tangaroa Tokens, thus allowing for longer exploration sessions. here

The Engine runs on Planks or Biofuel, and a full tank lasts for 10 minutes. Each plank fuels an Engine for 36 seconds, meaning a tank can fit 17 planks rounded up (if the last plank is added too soon, some fuel will be wasted). A single canister of Biofuel can power an Engine for 12 minutes (the equivalent of 20 planks), but because that exceeds the capacity of the Engine's tank, inserting the canister directly into the Engine would waste at least 2 minutes of fuel. Biofuel can be more efficiently stored in Biofuel Tanks and then supplied to the Engine through Fuel Pipes to extend the time between having to refuel. A Biofuel Tank can be filled with four Biofuel canisters and powers a single Engine for a total of 48 minutes (approximately 2.4 to 3.6 in-game days depending on whether or not the player sleeps).

Adding six Engines to a raft will increase the sailing speed to the maximum possible, while ignoring aforementioned Foundation limitations.
