Situation: A new Gen III cool fuel module is being introduced to replace the existing Gen III module. Engines with serial numbers above the range listed are equipped with the new module from the factory. The primary difference between the designs is the method of connecting the cooling water hoses to the module. Refer to the Mercury Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC) for replacement modules for engines with serial numbers above the ranges listed. For models in the defined serial number ranges listed see all of the information presented in this service bulletin.

Ocean freight takes 3 weeks depending on departure dates and runs about $450 to major terminals in most of Western Europe and Hawaii. Airfreight is usually double that. Australia and the Pacific basin is about 50% more. Turnkeys are more and cannot be shipped air freight. Export engines are bought outright as cores cannot be economically returned. [links]

You can replace the pump, the issue is getting at it. Being real tight, the exhaust may need to be remove to gain access. The pump has a plastic cover over it which just uses clips to hold in place [links]

Next check or swap the relays next to the ECM. They are bit over an inch square and most cases they are black.
