Due to exposure and time, however, it is very likely that colors will not match your specific boat. Use Spectrum Color's Tint Adjustment Kit to adjust for shifts in color due to age and exposure.
Shelf Life
Gel coat has a shelf life of 6 months. After 6 months the solvent in the gel coat evaporates and the paste begins to break down chemically. [links]
Brush/Rolling: Spraying recommended. (For smaller repairs /applications only) Solvent Resistant Roller Cover 3/16" pile (nap), smooth to medium. Prewash roller cover to remove loose fibers prior to use. A Brushable Gel Coat is recommended for brush and roller applications more
Included: MEKp Catalyst/Hardener Bottle and Wax Additive Sanding Aid Container.
Gel Coat will begin to gel in approximately 10-17 minutes at 77 F. In warmer temperatures (90 F) reduce MEKP Catalyst (not less than 1.2%). In cooler temperatures (60 F) increase MEKP Catalyst up to 3%. Gelcoat may not thoroughly cure if applied in temperatures below 60 F.

Coloring
Colors are a perfect match to the original, new gel coat color. Based on exposure and time, boats older than 5 years may have a slightly noticeable difference in the gel coat color matches. Patch paste kits cannot be altered to match the "tint" of the weathered gel coat color. Tinting is available with quart and gallon sizes. more
Patch Paste allows an inexperienced person to make professional gel coat repairs. The paste spreads like vaseline, sets in 5-15 minutes, and is ready to sand and buff in an hour. more

Color Gel Coat is designed to be used in mold to produce UV resistant, blister resistant, high quality parts when laying up polyester or vinyl ester parts. They can be used in repair applications with an air inhibitor such as Duratec High Gloss Additive. more
The ChromaGlast™ Ready-To-Spray paint kits contain the correct quantity of our (#5025) Drying Accelerator and (#5027) Paint Hardener. One gallon of ChromaGlast™ Single Stage Paint will cover approximately 635 square feet of surface area. If you are planning on thinning your ChromaGlast™ Paint before spraying, we recommend you thin up to 10% using our (#5028) Exempt Solvent. [links]
