I have been renting my boat through Borrow A Boat for the last two years. I never thought I would rent out my boat but we met Matt and the team at a Boat Show and they explained the surprisingly simple process. Once we’d spoken to a surveyor to understood the costs of getting the right boat insurance we decided to give it a go. We’ve had a lot of fun since and for the first time in years of boat ownership I’m actually able to cover the costs of owning the boat. We actually chartered with Borrow A Boat last year to get some sunshine in Sardinia which we never would have done if we hadn’t saved so much cash through chartering. On top of that I get a lot of satisfaction from getting people’s feedback and hearing about the brilliant experiences they’ve had out on the water - when people are grateful it really makes all the difference. Since we’d had some enquiries for skippered charters I even decided to get my commercial tickets so that I can take people out. It’s been marvelous - the boat is in the best condition it’s been in and I wouldn’t want to be without the extra safety kit we had to buy and now I’m a much more accomplished boater. We’d recommend it to anyone! more
