I have lived on the Sausalito waterfront since 1953. There is no place like Sausalito and southern Marin Couty. Even after seven years on the East Coast and two years in London and various other watering holes, I could not imagine living anywhere else. The Bay Area provides the perfect synthesis of intellectual stimulation and sybaritic diversion. The vessel is a modern 2006 36' Tiara power cruiser "La Dolce Vita IV" which is built by S2 Yachts in the United States. The builder is a highly regarded manufacturer within the boating industry. Tiara Yachts pays special attention to comfort, seaworthiness, and safety. It is a superbly engineered offshore vessel. The specifications and craftsmanship are built to exceed US Coast Guard minimum safety standards by vessel manufacturers. The vessel is fully equipped with Federal and State required safety equipment and is annually inspected by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. This 36' cruiser is comfortable and roomy which personalizes your charter for a special occasion. The cabin's amenities include a spacious kitchen galley, couch, a marine head (aka: bathroom), TV, CD/stereo player, and sleeping berths. We take pride in a vessel that is meticulously clean and very well maintained. The vessel has twin Cummins diesel engines which are noted for generating low emissions and are designed to be environmentally friendly. These engines discharge low exhaust levels unlike typical marine diesel engines that can make a day of boating on the Bay or at sea uncomfortable due to unpleasant and excessive exhaust fumes. With a cruising speed of 23 knots, the benefit of this power vessel allows us to mobilize from one location to another in comfort and in a timely manner unlike being on a sailboat. As a result, we are able to cover more territory and visit more focal points in considerably less time than it would take underway on a sailboat. This custom built vessel is comfortable which is ideal for a special occasion like a private scattering. The vessel does not give its' passengers the feeling they are on a typical "charter fishing boat" for such a personal event which is a lifelong memory. The vessel is moored in beautiful Sausalito. Yes, there are many destinations offering restaurants with boat tie-up docks. You can sail to Fish or Le Garage in Sausalito. Dock at Sam’s in Tiburon. Docks also at Pier 1 ½ and go to The Ferry Terminal, La Mar or The Slanted Door. In Oakland, you can dock at Scott’s for seafood, Brotzeit Lokal, a German Beer Garden. Docks at Angel Island Café and they have live music on Sunday plus picnic tables if you want to picnic. Dock at Terrapin Crossroads for live music and a tasty brunch on Sunday. With the technology of food delivery, you can dock your boat at a guest slip and have food delivered right to you! here
The best thing about sailing in San Francisco is you can sail 2-3 hours and pick to be at a new location or anchored away from it all. Benicia, the former capital of California is a quaint seaside town with guests within walking distance to downtown and just a day sail away from San Francisco. Sausalito is a fantastic destination with amazing restaurants, hikes, and sunshine. Getting a guest slip at South Beach Harbor is the perfect city overnight as you are within walking distance to Chase Center and Oracle Park for a game or a concert plus world-class dining. Anchoring overnight at China Camp, Treasure Island or Angel Island is perfect for grilling, replacing, and sometimes even swimming! In San Francisco, you can circumnavigate Alcatraz, Angel Island, or Treasure Island. Sailing under Golden Gate Bridge is fantastic no matter how many times you have done it! Anchoring in McCovey Cove is a perfect place to catch a Giants game. The roar of the crowd is fantastic! Go whale watching out past the Golden Gate Bridge for a truly memorable day.
