Well I hope that wasn’t too long today, but after all we just covered 10 years of fiberglass boat design, development and marketing. In 12 short years, by 1969 Glastron sold over 60,000 boats – an impressive number. And the Marketing Department had a big part in that success.

The example shown was offered for sale at the 2006 RM Auction in Monterey, CA. It has traveled 37,700 miles since new and is finished in Hemi orange paint. It is powered by a 340 cubic-inch V8 engine matted to a four-speed pistol grip manual gearbox. It was given a Rallye package which included the Rallye hood, sport steering wheel and laser stripes. It has been treated to a frame-off restoration and treated to the highest degree of attention. At the conclusion of the auction the vehicle had been sold for $60,500. more
