Spring-loaded hinges promise back-saving raising and lowering.
Say goodbye to that aching back. Sea Ray promises their new tubular aluminum watersports tower design will be easier — and lighter — to raise and lower, making breaking down the tower for storage or low bridges less of a back-breaking proposition.
One of the key design criteria for the new tower — featured in various configurations on the 185, 190, 200, 205 Sport, 220, 240, 260, and 280 Sundeck, as well as the 210, 230, 250, and 270 Select SLX — was that it needed to be lowered and raised by almost any member of your crew, young or old, weak or strong. The lightweight, high-strength aluminum construction with a baked-on black powdercoat finish accomplishes some of that objective. The key ingredients, however, are built-in tension springs in each hinge area that take a significant amount of the load off the person handling the tower. Remove the screw-in retaining bolt from each side, and the stylish, forward-swept towers can be walked down into the folded position with relative ease, or raised by reversing the process. That’s good news. Last time I tried that trick solo I almost got a hernia.
Like other wake companies, Sea Ray has made sure all the current accessories can be mounted above. Towers include integrated LED lights, wakeboard racks, and a rotating nylon ski tow that Sea Ray promises will reduce rope wear on Sport models. Sundecks and Select SLX models add an integrated anchor light and removable/stowable bimini top. [links]

TIPS FOR RUNNING WIRES IN YOUR ARCH OR T TOP
The wires will not go through the deck/side mounts, the mounts are solid and they fold down so you need to allow for that when you run the wires. Your wires will need to come up/out near the mount and the wires will go through a hole you will drill in the arch tube 2" inches above the bottom of the tube ensuring you are above the point where the mounts are fully inserted in the tube, the hole should not be larger than 1/2".

Laying down your arch - This is a simple process of removing 2 of the allen bolts either from the front mounts or rear mounts and then loosening the remaining bolts in the other 2 mounts.
