Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan's sports empire is spreading overseas.
"Fulham is the perfect club at the perfect time for me," Khan said in a statement. "I want to be clear, I do not view myself so much as the owner of Fulham, but a custodian of the club on behalf of its fans. My priority is to ensure the club and Craven Cottage each have a viable and sustainable Premier League future that fans of present and future generations can be proud of. We will manage the club's financial and operational affairs with prudence and care, with youth development and community programs as fundamentally important elements of Fulham's future."
Khan committed to play a "major role" in growing the NFL brand in London after committing the Jaguars to playing overseas once a year for the next four seasons. (Starting in October against the San Francisco 49ers.)

What do you get for $112 million? A better question would be what don't you get? The ship comes loaded with a formal dining salon, disco, teak decks, jacuzzi, sauna and gym. High-end woodwork details everything from a beer keg to a motorcycle hatch with crane. There's also a 25-foot Chris Craft boat, Yamaha WaveRunners and other surpasses, the Florida Times-Union reports.
The ship sleeps 12 guests in six impressive staterooms with crew of 17, including three stewardesses, a chef, a sous chef and the always important masseuse, beautician and therapist.
The initial design presented Tuesday was developed by Kansas City-based Populous, which provided “initial conceptual design support” for Iguana Investments, a development entity created by Khan for the Shipyards project.

“I think it’s going to be successful for a number of reasons. One, you have a great visionary leader in Shad Khan. As a mayor, it’s my top priority; I believe in downtown and there’s a drive to make sure we have the best downtown and I think that’s what’s going to happen.”
Shad Khan addressed the state of the franchise, and did so in a big way.
“I can tell you this, categorically, that as soon as the season was over, our dream was to get Nick Foles for all the different reasons that have been elaborated before, and it happened," Khan said Thursday after the franchise's annual state of the franchise presentation. "I think that’s a critical part that we have addressed.
“Whatever” ended up being a four-year contract worth $91 million with $50.125 million guaranteed. It is the biggest contract and largest guarantee in franchise history, and when you factor in the $16.5 million in dead money after the team cut Bortles, it’s a huge chunk out of Khan’s wallet. more
Khan opted to retain Coughlin, Caldwell and Marrone and said in a statement after the loss to Houston that there were far too many long Sundays in 2018 and “that cannot repeat itself in 2019.” Khan did not elaborate on his specific expectations then and he didn’t again on Thursday, but it’s clear that the Jaguars need to be in the playoff hunt in December.
As much as he liked Blake Bortles, Khan knew they needed an upgrade.
