The float level was another question I have. Could I box in the 2 rear seats and fill those seats plus the one at the nose of the boat with expanding marine foam to increase the floatation capability? All the floatation is in the floor currently. Another option would be to 'glass some 2x2's to the gunwales, add sheets of flotation, and cover them with a 3/8 inch marine plywood.
