WOW, This I never knew. Thanks for the detailed explanation on what is going on inside the little mind in the AVX controller. That the results from the calibration are stored in the controller NV memory explains a lot about some weird results earlier. If you re-do the calibration, I assume it replaces (vs adding-to) the results from prior calibration sessions, right?

You may want to check out the polar alignment offered by SharpCap, that should only take a few minutes and it will likely be much more accurate than you get using Celestron's All Star Polar Alignment.
Do a six star alignment (two alignment stars and 4 calibration stars) in step 2.
You do not need steps 4 and 5 unless you want confirmation of how well you did.
