On many boats, coolers are kept under leaning posts, gunwales or other hard to reach areas. Cooler Slides make it easy to load and unload the cooler. The slides are made of non-corrosive starboard material with stainless steel spring latches which secures the slide in the retracted position. It is designed to be simple and functional, but allows better access to your cooler. The space required to install the coolers is the length of the cooler plus 2" inches and the height of the cooler plus an 1 1/4".
First, I am a serious DIY guy - if I think I can do it, I’ll do it. I have an Everglades 243 with a fairly heavy YETI 65qt cooler that was tied down under the lean post. Compared to other cooler designs, this one made the most sense. Low profile with very little sticking out from the sides. I modified it slightly by adding rubber tie-downs to the sides, which locks my cooler into the slide. It has worked flawless for past 6 seasons. Well-made and worth the price for what this does.
