Nauticats are being built in Finland with the heavy weather and winds of the Baltic and North Sea in mind. The heavy body, pilot house, indoor heating and 90 hp engine make for comfortable cruising under any condition. The ketch rig allows easy single handed sailing. The roomy pilothouse with 360 degree view gives the boat a much larger feel of the interior than one would expect from a 33 ft boat.
A 1985 Nauticat 33 has been recently reviewed by Duncan Kent in June 8, 2021 in Yachting Monthly.
