I used this on the bottom of the boat to get the saltwater scum and brown discoloration off. The boat is kept on a lift so there are no heavy barnacles. I just spray it on with a gallon garden sprayer, then hose it off. No wiping or scrubbing is needed. You should wax after use.
Very powerful product use carefully with mask and gloves what I find annoying as people rating this produc low just because it has acid in it. Maybe that's what it needs to remove everything! Don't use it on your trailers and definitely not on your stainless steel handrail on your boat, as it burned mines. Was easy to recover the bar just put on a special stainless steel polish and it's done. READ directions in the back before use. Thing is amazing, wished I found out about it sooner!
The last lake I was on had some algae and scum that floated through, and I didn't realize how bad it was until I took the boat of the water and got home. Of course it was all dried at this point. It looked pretty bad since I have a light tan gel coat. This stuff melted away the scum line on the hull like butter. It definitely lives up to its name. And a small amount goes a long way. I have a 22 bass boat. I ordered a gallon. But after doing my hull I figured that even with expected future use, I could have gotten away a much smaller size. Two things though: Don't get it on your skin. And whatever you do, be out side and do not breathe in the fumes!! Whew!
I have been cleaning boat hulls now for years. I've tried the basic stuff, Mean Green, Purple Power, etc. They did ok on minor staining. Nothing though I've seen beats Starbrite! My Ski Tique had some major scum, and 3 rounds with Starbrite did it!! White!! I will buy more to keep on hand. Thanks! Good price too. more
Remove the boat from the water and knock off large marine deposits. allow marine deposits and stains to dry thoroughly. Stains and deposits found above the waterline may be removed while the boat is in water. [links]
