I am not too sure on reverse continuity, however the correct one needed for your model is 0586287, which is the new version on 586286
my 2000 johnson j150vlss needs a starter, i ordered an omc replacement for 586286 but the mechanic told me it needs to be reverse continuity, question: is this part 586287 compatible with 586286?? and does it have reverse continuity? thanks!
