Should I just get more carb cleaner and just spray the heck out of the inlet barb pipe where the gas tank line connects to the carb? The emulsion tube on this is metal and doesn't come out. Is there something maybe in that that is not drawing the fuel up into the body of the carb? Is there something else that would prevent gas coming into the carb to get into the bowl?

Make sure fuel is flowing from the tank to the carb first. If fuel is coming out of the fuel line, then take the carb back off and make sure the float isn't stuck, preventing fuel from filling the bowl. After removing the carb and bowl, make sure the float moves up and down freely. Also turn the carb upside down to see if the float needs adjusted. Basically it should be parallel with the body of the carb, not pointing at an angle.

Here is what I used. I also replaced the float and bowl. When I got this chipper (it was free) I opened up the carb and it had sticky goo all over the bowl. The throttle "butterfly" was completely stuck and I sprayed with cleaner and after a while it started to rotate. Should I just keep spraying it with cleaner in the intake and emulsion tube? Could it still just be gummed up inside? Is there a hole in there that I can stick a piece of metal through to help clean it out or just let carb cleaner sit in there?

Make sure to look at the way the diaphram is in there when you take it out, it has to be seated right with the ridge fitting in the cover or it will not work.
im not sure a stuck float will make it not run,
When you take the bowl off the carb, its the two screws holding the cover on where your long bowl screw came out. In there is a diaphram w/spring, two ball bearings w/ a small spring. All you need to do is to replace the diaphram without losing the bearings or spring.

1). Drain as much fuel as possible from the float bowl. This can be done by turning the petcock off and allowing the bike to idle until it is out of fuel. more

4). Repeat steps 2 and 3 three times.
The needle seat valve controls all of the fuel flow into your carburetor. If it is not filling, a sharp tap on the float bowl support bracket can help restore flow. If that does not solve the issue, or your carburetor is over flowing, follow the steps below.
3). Spray a shot of compressed air at a moderate pressure through the inlet barb.

Initially, I realized I was over tightening the bowl nut. As soon as I realized this, I loosen and re-tighen the nut just enough so the bowl is not leaking. This kinda fixed - I can keep the mower running for 10-15 minutes, but again would eventual stop. [links]

I found the root cause - it appears the float/needle is getting stuck in the rised/closed position causing the bowl to run dry. The way I figured it out was by removing the air filter so I can see the jet in the intake. I let the mower run and can clearly see fuel come up through the jet. I can also press the primer bulb and see a surge of fuel come up. After running steady for about 3-5 minutes. the engine starts to hesistate and I can see fuel flow becoming more and more intermittent until the engine stops all together. If I hit the primer bulb immediately after no fuel comes up the jet. here

So I ordered the kit from Briggs. rebuild went well. After the rebuild, all ran well and was able to mow for over an hour without problems. more

In the following week, I started having problems. The mower would run for about 3-5 minutes and then would stop.

During the rebuild, I did replace all the gaskets that was in the kit, including the little one for the needle. Im my haste, I may overlooked the gasket for the bowl nut (if there was on supplied). Could that gasket be the culprit causing me to tighten the bowl more than I need to and causing the float to may be not sit properly in the bowl?
