Lauren talks to a sleepy Nico and says that Kelley is being sensitive about rank, which he isn’t. He’s being sensitive about a false rumor going around that he got demoted below one of his crew. That’s a legit thing to be annoyed about. Lauren tells Nico not to worry, and that no one but Kelley really cares about rank. LAUREN. here
Back in the galley, Ben fumbles with Emily’s flowers as he tries to move them to a spot that keeps them in view but does not blot out the sun.
Ben looks for walnuts. Emily knows where they are. Ben is doing a tasting menu, which involves a succession of tricky dishes. Kate knows Ben is trying to scramble back from his screw-up with the broth last night, and so has very little sympathy for him.
Ashley tells Kyle about her upcoming doctor’s appointment to continue with her transition. She needs someone to be there to take care of her after surgery and she wants Kyle to be that person. He’s afraid of the responsibility. Ashley thinks Kyle is scared of having to look after her and says not to be there if he doesn’t want to be. That’s not really it. Kyle is worried he’ll screw up the relationship somehow and Ashley won’t really want him to be that person for her. He says he’ll be with her every step of the way during the process and he wants to be. That’s what Ashley needed to hear, and it’s what they both want, so I’m glad they got that shaken out. (Except apparently not, because they’ve now broken up.)
Ashley comes to chat in the galley because Kyle is still working. She talks about meeting Kyle as Kyle was getting clotheslined by a bouncer. Kate likes Ashley’s sass. Ben catches Emily cleaning and suggests a date. She counters with the suggestion of going out with the whole crew because they don’t have much time left in the season. Uh-oh. Ben is shocked and can’t imagine why Emily would want to hang out with anyone else.
According to her LinkedIn, Rayna has an extensive career working as a crewmate. In 2016, Rayna graduated from Augsburg University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. At Augsburg, Rayna earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing. Throughout her undergraduate experience, Rayna worked as a member of court management for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx basketball team. In 2015, Rayna was a marketing coordinator at Kaskaid Hospitality in Minneapolis. In May 2017, Rayna finally made it out of the Twin Cities and moved to Alaska. In Cordova, Rayna took on the role of deckhand for the first time. At Orca Adventure Lodge, Rayna assisted the captain on fishing tours. After two years in Alaska, Rayna worked at Club Med in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Rayna prepared herself for the drama of Below Deck as she managed a team of 11 at Club Med. here
Rayna Lindsey is a new addition to the crew of Below Deck season 9. She is an experienced deckhand and scuba diver who has traveled the world.
With another season of Below Deck comes a new cast of crewmates working to keep the ship afloat, including new deckhand Rayna Lindsey. The premiere of Below Deck season 9 is coming this October, and there is a whole slew of new faces audiences need to get acquainted with before embarking on the upcoming journey. From her position on the yacht to her qualifications, this is all there is to know about Rayna.
On Instagram, Rayna shares even more about her experiences and qualifications to join the intense Below Deck crew. Rayna’s Instagram account is raynaeats_mpls. On the social medium, Rayna has amassed 1,648 followers and follows 1,199 other accounts. With over 160 posts, Rayna’s Instagram is full of photos and videos of the soon-to-be reality star’s travels across the world. From swimming in tropical oceans to petting tigers, Rayna’s Instagram demonstrates the deckhand’s adventurous spirit. In her bio, Rayna explains that on top of being a deckhand, she is an accomplished yacht chef (although it is unclear if she is as skilled as Chef Ben Robinson from Below Deck). Rayna also notes that she is an advanced scuba diver, which is backed up by a recent picture of Rayna hanging out with a shark in the depths of the ocean.
Rayna is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, but she had made a habit of traveling the world. After living in Minneapolis, Rayna settled down in Cordova, Alaska. Currently, the Below Deck newbie is living in Miami, Florida, but she doesn’t stay put for too long. In season 9, Rayna is on course to gain a new world of experience as she sails the water of Saint Kitts with her fellow co-stars and crewmates. Saint Kitts, also known as Saint Christopher Island, is an island located in the West Indies. Rayna will be following in the footsteps of other famed deckhands like season 7’s Ashton Pienaar in her reality TV debut. Although Rayna is sailing on uncharted Caribbean waters, she is no stranger to working as a deckhand.
Speaking of Jess, later on, first mate Gary King and chief engineer Colin Macrae were ripped into after they were caught gossiping about the guests. In Jess' defense, it was unprofessional. Yet, by causing a scene she was proving their point that this group was bound to be a handful.
On the Monday, May 17 episode, Captain Glenn Shephard and company scrambled to assess the damage following last week's boat crash. Although the situation wasn't great, they were able to do a quick cosmetic fix since the transom door was able to open. [links]
For starters, there was co-primary charter guest Erica, who requested that the interior crew unpack all of the luggage. Oh, and while "seasick" (AKA seemingly intoxicated) she asked Captain Glenn to make the ship stop rocking in a thunderstorm. more
We have a feeling this is the "challenging" group that chief stewardess Daisy Kelliher teased to E! News earlier this month. "There's definitely one more group that, you know, for me, really stuck out," she said at the time. "I thought they were all actually fine. I really enjoyed all of them but, there were two that were definitely a bit more difficult and a bit more challenging." more

Harsh waves! Bugsy Drake shared her thoughts on the drama that continues to unfold between her former Below Deck Mediterranean costars Hannah Ferrier and Sandy Yawn after the captain said the former chief stew just “waits tables.”
While Bugsy revealed that she does keep in touch with many of her fellow cast members, she has not been in contact with Hannah. [links]

Trevor Walker was a deckhand in season four of Below Deck; however, not many fans remember him because he only lasted four episodes. While he was okay at his job, he wasn't friendly to anyone on the yacht — including the captain.
She made nachos with hard cheese and soggy chips — she even microwaved steak! She was on for five episodes before Captain Sandy had enough of her horrendous cooking and fired her from the ship. Mila left in tears and with a huge chip on her shoulder.
He was a hard worker and easy on the eyes but he drank too much one weekend, butchering his reputation and causing him to be fired.
Things got worse for Danny when he went head to head with practically everything and later gave his number to a guest, which is a huge no-no. Danny was soon fired by Captain Mark Howard. here
Even though Brown got caught sleeping on the job, Captain Rosbach didn't fire him until the bosun and co-bosun situation got complicated and there was eventually no room for Brown onboard.
The yachting world isn’t for everyone. In such close quarters, some people can’t take the heat, the long hours, or even constructive criticism.
