See full version: SunTracker Party Barge - Removing rear cushion from carpeted platform
I can't figure out what is holding the seat cushion 'assembly' to the carpeted plywood. I see no other fasteners or holes in the carpet. I pried a small gap between the carpeted plywood and the seat cushion and can't see any fasteners, nor does it appear that it's glued. Very puzzling.
On the shelf/seat that is over the motor, I'm trying to replace the carpet on the plywood the bench seat cushion is mounted on. Removed the screws that hold on mounting arms underneath the carpeted plywood. expecting that the same screws is what hold the upholstered seat cushion on. The cushion is vinyl over foam over plywood too. I was surprised to find when I removed the screws the seat cushion 'assembly' is somehow still mysteriously fastened to the carpeted plywood underneath. There are no other visible screws or hardware on the underside. The carpet is wrapped over the sides of the plywood and the ends nicely hidden under the cushion.
Have a 1997 Suntracker Signature 25 Party Barge. This question may be answerable by anyone who has replaced upholstery or carpet on a late 90's or early 2000's Suntracker. here
Anyone ever taken one of these apart for recarpeting or upholstering? There must be something I'm overlooking. [links]
On an editorial note, I'm surprised that Tracker used so many non-stainless fasteners (screws, staples, etc.) on interior panels.

I'm also including the $200 trailerable storage cover w/ straps. Boat and trailer CA registrations current including mussel sticker. Titles in hand. I havenew registration numbers (CF numbers) but have not put them on yet in case the boat goes out of state and the buyer needed to switch them. Either way, they go with the boat. Runs like a top. Just for full disclosure, there is a repair to the port side toon you can see in the pics. Its about a 3 inch professional patch on the top of the toon and a repair to the side rail. Also, the outboard motor cover has a few very minor blemishes but they can be solvedwith a new sticker kit that is also available on classifieds board. Many extras included like ropes and bumpers, even a tube. Reserve is low. You wont find a practically new Pontoon boat, with a practically new trailer, with a motor like it has got for anywhere close to what my reserve is. If youd like to see it or want pictures of something specifically, please ask a question through classifieds board. I can also be reached at 310-597-7one54 for serious buyers. Boat is located in Santa Clarita (Agua Dulce) CA 91390. Will assist with delivery at the buyers expense. 28 foot sun tracker party barge. COMPLETELY REDONE! It's titled as a 1986 but the only things remaining from 1986 are the pontoons and crossmembers. I'd call it a 2013 it is so new. Completely rebuilt with 2000 Evinrude 225 outboard powering it. The motor is a 2 stoke oil injection. However, it's a DIRECT FUEL INJECTION motor so it complies with all the same emission standards as the 4 stroke- meaning you can use on all California waterways! Trailer completely rebuilt new suspension and bunk boards with plastic sliders. Brand new silver paint instead of that ridiculous Tracker brown color. 2 inch ball with flat four plug. This thing is super light to tow. Toon Brite chemicals included in purchase to brighten/polish the aluminum. They were expensive. The entire boat is a little dusty and the marks you see in the floor will wash off. There is no damage or stains in it. There are a few minor dings in the aluminum fencing panels that can be seen depending on how the sun is shining on it, but overall they are extremely straight. Two brand new group 27 batteries with disconnect switches. Also, completely new wiring harness. Marine grade plywood used ($$$) and covered with vinyl flooring. New under deck slide out aluminum ladder at the bow. The only thing remaining to be done on the boat is the front seating group and bimini top. The buyer can choose the configuration. I will supply all specs and contacts to get the matching front seats. Depending on which way the buyer wants to go, you can put down some lawn chairs for almost nothing or you can spend a couple bucks depending on the type of seating you want. Ill also show how to install them, or even help if you are local. Buyer can also choose to purchase and add their own bimini top. There are some great deals on E-bay. I know where to get one for 399.99 and will share that with buyer. The wire and switch for the stern light is in but the stern light is not included. It will have to be purchased and bolted on your bimini. I was going to use a $20 one from West Marine.
