Racin929: I would love to build one for you but as I live in Mexico it would be complicated to ship it throught the border, besides I believe shiping cost ill be high considering the size and dimentions of the tow bar. Any way, I´ll be posting a picture with the exact measurments so you can have one build for you at any local automotive mufler shop. here
Wow! That's the most over engineered tow bar I have ever seen. That is the way the other manufactures should build Theirs. Excellent job it should last you the rest of your life.

Like many boats with outboard motors, it’s often difficult to narrow down the best setup for the different forms of towing watersports. Many pontoon boat owners turn to ski pylons or wakeboarding towers to solve this issue, but both options present challenges of their own. Since most pontoon boats include a Bimini top, there’s not always room for a wake tower to be installed. These boats are also created to maximize space onboard, so the addition of a pylon might take away from the entertainment space on deck. Mounted onto the transom, the TurboSwing is a tow bar that’s able to save that space yet fit naturally into the pontoon boat design. more
If you own a pontoon boat, then your main focus is probably centered around providing the best experience for your guests onboards—this includes allowing them to get active in watersports like skiing, wakeboarding, wakesurfing, kneeboarding, and tubing. To do this successfully, you’ll want to ensure that you can give them a nice ride that they can enjoy. If you don’t have a TurboSwing installed on your pontoon, accomplishing this might be difficult—and here’s why. [links]
Without TurboSwing, your tow rope may be tied to the back of your pontoon boat at a point that’s fairly close to the surface of the water. This low tie-off point constantly pulls the rope — and you — downward. For example, when you jump or hit a large wake, the rope is at a downward angle and pulls you back down almost immediately. There’s also a possibility that the rope could get caught in the turbulence behind the boat, making it much harder to maintain a smooth ride. TurboSwing is a great fix for a situation like this, because it raises your tie-off point. You’ll quickly notice a difference as you’ll see more air when you go off the wake during tube rides or watersports runs. And your tow rope will be well above the water, so there’s no chance that it will get caught up in the wake. [links]
Regardless of the make and model of your pontoon boat — or whether it is a pontoon or tri-toon — TurboSwing provides a universal fit for outboard-powered boats. TurboSwing’s patented design keeps the tow rope away from the pontoon’s outboard motor and out of the wake to reduce drag. Its EZ pulley system adds to the smoothness of the ride, and won’t affect a pontoon boat’s turning abilities. here
Love the turbo swing! It was so easy to install. And it does make it more convenient when towing skiers and tubers. Thank you. more
Everyone from kids to teens to adults will enjoy riding behind the boat on a wakeboard, kneeboard, tube, or water skis. But you may have some big problems to grapple with. If your boat wasn’t designed for watersports there may not be anywhere to install a ski pylon. And if there’s a spot for one but the boat didn’t leave the factory equipped for water sports, installing a pylon after the fact may require some serious structural modification. Luckily, now that you’ve discovered the TurboSwing, you’ve found the answer to this problem. [links]
Whether you have a runabout, a pontoon boat, a fishing boat, or even a small cruiser, if your boat is powered by virtually any outboard—even twin engines all the way up to 350 horsepower—we have a TurboSwing model that will do the trick. [links]
Mounted perfect to our pontoon outboard. Next weekend the kids were behind the boat screaming with joy and maybe a little bit of fear. here
Re: Sun Tracker Tow Bar Suggestions? [links]
Any ideas would be appreciated. more
I'm interested in buying a tow bar for the back of my 2008 Sun Tracker - wondering if anybody has bought one for a similar boat and, if so, what you got, what you paid and if you're happy with it. I have a 60 hp motor on my boat and would like to keep the rope out of the water to reduce drag as much as possible.
Re: Sun Tracker Tow Bar Suggestions?
MAYOR JONES,
I recently designed, built, welded, painted, and installed a tow bar on our 24' Sun Tracker Pontoon. I'll tell ya, to custom build one to your specs, and paint it, and ship to ya, it would probably cost about 250.00 dollars. So if you can find one cheaper, I welcome you to do so..
If you're interested in having me make one for you, please PM or email me and I'll send you some pics and answer any questions you might have. I pulled 3 people at a time on the tube last weekend, with not even a budge or flex of the tow bar..
