Selling my Catalina 25. This is a great first boat for people learning to sail, especially on the Chesapeake Bay. This boat is near and dear to my heart since it was my first boat, but Ive since upgraded to a larger Catalina 34. [links]

Some opportunity for interior cosmetic enhancements to make the boat your own. The onboard stove currently does not work, but excellent opportunity to upgrade from the original alcohol based stove (I typically use a camp stove).

I own a 1986 Catalina Sailboat with a Swing Keel, Pop Top Cabin and inboard Universal 10HP Diesel Engine all newly serviced with new starter at the Landings Marina in good condition. Kitchen, Bathroom and Sleeping facility - All new pads inside and out. I am 75 years old and not able to sail it alone anymore or do the necessary basic maintenance required and have over $8000 in the boat since I have owned it.It will sleep 5-6 and has all appliances and fresh water tank. The mainsail is in excellent condition and I have an almost new North Sail Genoa with a rollup as a jib. New Seat pads inside and out.I would like $4500 or best offer- I paid $6000 last August and have put over $2000 in improvements since then. Improvements include new pads inside and out, complete diesel engine servicing including a new starter, installed a new Swing Keel Cable, new bilge pump and several other expenses. Not a screw to turn, super clean, well maintained and ready to sail. Upgrades: All shrouds, stays, chain plates, cockpit railings, new wenches, mainsheet, travelers, adjustable backstay, lazy jacks, halyards, and sheets. All exterior wood upgraded to starboard. Loose footed full batten mainsail, five years old, bimini included. Bottom stripped, faired, and painted smooth in 2012.Keel faired and all hangers replaced in 2012. 6hp outboard Johnson motor. Classic MacGregor 25 "Brown Sugar" This is a very clean and very good condition boat. She is currently being sailed in Galveston bay. She has a swing keel, a pop up roof 6' 7" height, and a brown canvas cover over companion way and matching jib and main sail cover and foreword hatch and bimini top Sails are in very good condition. Very clean closed head with porta potty. If you're looking for a pick up and go sail boat this is it. I have a Vip galvanized trailer with led lights she sits pretty on double axle that comes with her. The cushions could use a dry cleaning but are ok the way they are. There are probably things you could find to do with her as far as clean up and little projects here and there as with any boat but this is not a project it's ready to play with as is I sail her every weekend as she sits now and she is a great vessel. I'm just looking for larger now to sail across the ocean. Have a look at the pictures you will be impressed she is beautiful.
