Ive done:
glowplugs,
new filter
new liftpump,
ive cleaned out my sedimenter (which had some nasty almost organic looking gunk in it).
Ive put a non-return valve in between the injector pump and the filter.
Ive blown backwards down fuel line with airhose.

I want to look in the tank to clean it out and check the sender unit and filter but the unions between fuel hose and top of tank are rusted solid and will require destroying and replacing, so im putting that one off. more

And I cant help but think that the non return valve should rule out an air leak on the tank side of the valve? Which makes me look at stuff engine side, hence im doing the injector seal. here
