The perfect pick for adding structure to your boat cover or awning, an anodized aluminum support pole will help to keep your boat cover properly tented so water can’t pool on the top. Sailrite ® has several high-quality adjustable poles in several sizes that you can use to finish your next covering projects. These poles are also a popular choice as adjustable awning poles, shade sail support poles, canopy poles and much more. here

We also have Carbiepoles™ in our lineup of boating hardware! Carbiepoles are adjustable (telescoping) carbon fiber poles that will vastly improve your boat's shade and awning extension. These incredibly lightweight poles are easy to set up and very strong. They have an internal rigging system with pulley and cleat to tension your sun shade awning. Enjoy your boat at anchor or at a sandbar with a collapsible shade awning!

the poles do not fit well into the plastic top and bottom holders. the bottom can be pushed in with some amount of brute strength needed. i did grease the aluminum shaft so it would slide in with a little more ease and i would have a lesser chance of splitting the plastic holder. the upper pole would not start into the holder at all. either the pole diameter is too big or the plastic holders socket where the pole goes in is undersized. i did have to take the upper pole to a grinding wheel and grind it down so it would start into the holder and i also greased the pole so it would go in easier. i did use a rubber mallet to pound it in. for the average non-mechanic non-shop smart person, they would send it back because it does not fit together well. I made it work, but shouldn't have to fix it just to use it more

Product doesn't seem as sturdy as I'd like, but the very reasonable price reflects that. I can see how you could adapt it to make it sturdier, but by itself, not the best. Also, would be nice to have instructions on how to use it for us novice boat owners. more
