You might want to know that the family drama was not conceived as a long-running series. In an interview in June 2021, executive producer Georgia Pritchett revealed that the show could run for a maximum of five seasons, although it looked like four cycles would be more likely. She also stated that the writers had a good idea about how they would like to wrap up the show. But only time will tell what lies on the horizon for the series and its characters. more

On the other hand, we will see more of Willa Ferreyra (Justine Lupe), Karl Muller (David Rasche), and Hugo Baker (Fisher Stevens) since the actors playing these roles have been upped to series regulars. We will also see some new characters such as Lisa Arthur (Sanaa Lathan), Michelle-Anne Vanderhoven (Linda Emond), Berry Schneider (Jihae Kim), and Comfry (Dasha Nekrasova). here

No, no, no it was all scripted. All scripted. In fact there was more to it, but they rightly cut it, which I thought was a good edit. [links]

I think it does explain that. There has to be a blood sacrifice. Logan, of course, never thought for one minute it was going to be himself, except, when the shareholders said the need, he realizes that he’s in the frame to be the blood sacrifice. And of course, he ends up the blood sacrifice, because of what Kendall does.

What did you think of the finale when you first read it?

Yeah, and the thing about Logan is: In the game you have to be a killer. You have to be a killer in that game. This is the thing that Kendall never quite steps up to. He always avoids. And of course his relationship, the relationships with the various women, the relationship with drugs, is all a kind of avoidance. And Logan is looking for a successor, and he wants it to be within his family. He now sort of said, “Well, this is your opportunity, if you’re not a killer, I don’t know if you are.” This immediately sort of, ratchets it up for Kendall, and then he turns on his father and Logan says, “Well, at least something’s happened.” [Laughs.] more

I guess the most obvious question is, is Kendall a killer yet?

Kendall has really grown since the pilot. Especially his relationship with his father. more

I think he feels more relaxed with her. I think he’s also now got a whole new respect for Roman because he feels that Roman has come of age. Roman’s defense of Gerri, which is very admirable, but more so his recognizing the fallacy of the whole Middle Eastern trip. Roman seeing through that, that really has got him thinking, “There’s more to this boy than meets the eye.” I think that’s something that will emerge even more in the next season. [links]

I never get seasick. It was beautiful. To be in Dubrovnik was lovely, so was Korcula, that’s where the boat went. That aspect, none of that bothered me. Just the idea of being locked in a boat with a bunch of people, in normal life, you’d avoid like the plague. [Feigns screaming] “Ahhhh, no! No!” Our cast is very loving, so I didn’t have that problem. [links]

HBO’s Emmy-nominated comedy-drama is back again for season two, as aging patriarch Logan Roy (masterfully played by Brian Cox), head of the family-controlled global media conglomerate Waystar Royco, battles his family for power in the boardroom. Production designer Stephen Carter and set decorator George DeTitta Jr. return to design the sets that reflect the lifestyles of the dysfunctional family members vying to be modern-day Masters of the Universe.

Historical stately mansions played a big part in this season’s environs. For Roy’s summer home, the designers chose Henry Ford II’s 1960 estate, heralded as the Hamptons most expensive at a mere $175 million. The house’s owners were more than happy to give the 20-room, 20,000-square-foot home its close-up. As Emmy-nominated set decorator Carter details: “We changed all the artwork, added furniture, and dressed five rooms. For the office, we placed a desk from Newell Antiques and kept the homeowner’s rug; we used a palette of white and blues and tried to keep the integrity of the house.” more

Roy’s only daughter, newlywed Shiv (Sarah Snook), and her husband Tom (Matthew Macfadyen) get new digs in an existing Manhattan penthouse with a spectacular view of the Brooklyn Bridge and City Hall. Filmed in a contemporary three-story apartment, the set decorator says the setting “was an entirely different environment; we brought in some décor and used an existing table and lighting, and decided we would go with the feeling already established [in the interiors].”
