I had a broken wire inside the handle on my boat. Took it apart soldered a new piece of wire and as good as new now. So, grab your ohm meter and check those wires---- here
Plan cable route so cables have fewest possible number of bends. The bends must never be less than 6 in. (15 cm) radius.
Check throttle friction - move control handle to FORWARD throttle range. When properly adjusted, control handle should have just enough friction to prevent vibration from changing throttle setting and yet allow easy handle movement in forward throttle range.
