The 3M products are intended specifically for above AND below waterline applications. They are polyurethane products, not silicone based. Much superior bonding strength, and flexibility. The 5200 is considered permanent, 4200 is removeable and 4000 is removeable and has high UV resistance. Usually found at most marine suppliers and dealers. [links]

I want to pull people on tubes (maybe wake board/skier if possible). here
I know this topic has been posted a bunch of times. I think I have read most of them, but I'm really trying to identify/verify something on my boat.
I have a 2002 25' Sun Tracker Regency Edition with a 135hp i/o motor.
I have been reading a ton on-line and finally came across this:

When I bought the boat the guy I bought it from told me that he was told by Sun Tracker that the "eye" on the back of the boat was used for this. I called Sun Tracker today to verify this and tried to describe what I was talking about. She put me on hold and came back and said this was a mooring ring and they used a ski bar for their boats. more
So which is it? Attach the tow rope for tubing to a ski tow bar or to the pontoon eyes? here
We purchased a 2013 Sweetwater Tuscany and I contacted Godfrey via email asking if it was safe to attached the Y harness to the tube eyes for tubing and here is the answer I received from J.R. Summey the Godfrey rep:
"You could check with your dealer to see if it has ski tow bar option, they would need the boat serial # to see if one is available"
You're exactly right if it bends you need to foot the cost, and I know the dealer is not going to sign anything stating it's ok, but I asked and that was his opinion. [links]
