As a manager, your power stems from your ability to provide rewards (and threaten reprimands) in exchange for your subordinates’ doing the work. When you do this, you are performing transactional leadership, focusing on clarifying employees’ roles and task requirements and providing rewards and punishments contingent on performance. [links]

Several years ago I came up with the idea of putting angels wings on photos of my grandchildren. I have used them in several things I’ve made, including quotes for my website and Facebook page. So, it was an obvious idea to add Angel wings to some mother pictures too. here
As I mentioned in my last post: ‘Mother’s Day’ the title and theme of this poem came to me with the line from the song ‘Angel’ by Sarah McLachlan. I was writing down some notes for that poem when the song just came into my head and I instantly knew it was for another poem.
I used these pictures below, and others, for my mum’s card and I also sent the poem to my two daughters with pictures of them with each of their children too.

The blessing of her life was her family
And through them she developed strength
Staying with grandchildren brought her such joy
Her years continued for a much greater length
I wrote this poem for my mum’s birthday last year, I made it into a card so that the first part of the poem was on the outside, then when she opened it there was a full length picture of her mum with the rest of the poem about her.
On the passing of her husband Alfred
Frail and alone, the future bleak?
She had another lesson to teach us all
How to live on? What should you seek?
It’s now been 24 years since she moved
To our true home in the Heavens above
But what she left behind in many hearts
Is her pure and simple, unconditional love
