If you are looking for a kicker, regardless of 2 or 4 stroke, I would never run it off the main fuel tank and would always use a manual start model. If the object is a safety backup, ALL systems need to be redundant. [links]

Outboard motors can be placed in the two or four-stroke categories, each containing their own unique advantages and disadvantages. For sale is a very good 18 foot Starcraft Tournament Pro walleye boat with 175 mercury XRI (power tilt and trim) and electric start 15 kicker.
