The boat Raptors are the last of the 8 boats built by the “Pella” factory in Saint Petersburg for the Russian Navy. The last boat was set afloat on November 14, the Russian ministry of defense announced Tuesday.
The boats can efficiently patrol assigned sea areas, intercept and stop naval targets and carry out rescue missions in their areas of responsibility. more
Russia will be introducing two new generation boats Raptor into the Navy by the end of November after all technical and formal tests are passed.
Raptors can also protect ships and vessels’ stationing points from attacks of small-sized naval, air and ground targets at unsafe roadsteads. here
The British-designed vessel travels at almost 100mph, carries a retractable heavy machine gun and would not look out of place in a 007 film.

During the Cornwall incident in 2007 the 14 Royal Navy personnel were taken prisoner by the Iranians partly because their small boats were outgunned and slower than their Iranian captors. here
The U.S. Navy is looking to divest its nearly-new Mk VI patrol boats, the oldest of which are just six years old, and has already begun laying the groundwork to do so. Barring an order to change course from President Joe Biden's administration or intervention by Congress, the service plans to remove all 12 of these boats, examples of which are based in Guam, as well as in the continental United States, and forward-deployed in the Persian Gulf, from service before the end of the year. more
An unclassified General Administration (GENADMIN) message that The War Zone reviewed said that the Navy is presently looking to get rid of the Mk VIs by the end of the 2021 Fiscal Year, or September 30 of this year. The GENADMIN came from the office of Vice Admiral James Kilby, Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Warfighting Requirements and Capabilities, also known as N9, and is dated February 5, 2021. A source familiar with the state of the program says that Naval Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC), to which all of these patrol boats are presently assigned, could begin retiring them as early as next month. here

You are bidding on a project boat, hull only. The trailer in these photos is not included. It is in good condition but missing many items to make it operational. Visit www.pbr722.org for more historical information about the boat. There is a good network of rebuilders in the US and most of the original drawings are available to fabricate items that cannot be purchased from Home Depot or West Marine. This hull weight is 7200 lbs while hanging in the travel lift. The finished vessel weight will be in the range of 16,000 lbs. There is a PBR shipping cradle available to ship on a flatbed on another auction. The basic hull on a trailer can easily be pulled with a dually pickup. It is a WIDE LOAD because of the beam. This vessel is one of two that served at Mare Island called a Corsair. You can see the spec sheet on the website. It had a hard top and windshield, unlike the usual pipe frame and canvass top. Drawings are available to fabricate either top versions. The canvas top is available from a supplier and PBR owner. The 6V-53 marine engines are available in the marine surplus market and the 14YJ pumps are off and on available. I will be listing a pair on classifieds board that were slated to go with this boat. You are welcome to come out an visually inspect the boat. We have 3 of them at the same location. One is being restored for our own use. It is for sale As Is, Where-Is with no claims made as to its present condition. There are documents that show the chain of ownership up to me. For any questions or to make an appointment to see the boat, please reply through the classifieds board mail system. This is a unique opportunity to own a great piece of military naval history that you can actually store in your back yard. Believe me, I also have a 1944 83 foot Coast Guard Cutter that is a handful to keep track of. more
