Whether you refer to your Outer Reef Yacht as a cruising trawler or classic motor yacht doesn’t matter. Just remember, it’s the extras that make all the difference.
In 1996, Jeff Druek couldn’t find a boat that met his specifications, so he drew on his years of experience building homes in the Hamptons and as a commercial fisherman and built his own. It turned out so well, he partnered with a fourth-generation shipbuilder in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in 2001 to build Outer Reef Yachts. The craftsmen at Tania Yacht Company won him over based on two factors: superior quality and a willingness to do custom work. The Outer Reef Yachts for sale in the Classic Collection range from 55 to 115 feet and include the following series: Azure, Cockpit, DeluxBridge, Explorer and Motoryacht. There’s no doubt after one look at an Outer Reef motor yacht that the trawlers Jeff Druek used in his fishing business influenced the Outer Reef Yachts collection.
Today, Outer Reef Yachts builds a dozen owner-customized, ocean going motor yachts each year. Outer Reef Yachts is headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and its boats are still built by Tania Yacht Co.
It wasn’t long before Outer Reef yacht customers began requesting a new model that had everything previous models had – except with more speed. The sleek, sporty 530 Trident answered the call. The Trident Series now has five models ranging from to 62 to 110 feet (620, 620 Solara, 720, 3000 and 3200).
Galley-aft design creates largest outdoor space of any yacht in its class. Flybridge provides a birds-eye view of the bright blue sea. Range of 1,000 miles at 10 knots.

This traditional aft cabin cockpit yacht is loaded with all the extras and ready for exciting adventures at Sea. With a distinctive Trawler style appearance and versatile luxury interior layout the 15'6 beam allows for wide walk around side decks that are protected with raised bulwarks. Large windows provide plenty of natural lighting throughout the spacious Salon. The Aft deck includes comfortable furniture along with a mounted giant screen TV. All windows are covered with privacy mesh screens and high end custom made blinds. Both the interior and exterior of this yacht have been lovingly maintained and upgraded. The Salon includes a custom made built in cabinet which holds an extra Bar fridge. The warm inviting tones created by the Teak and Holly flooring perfectly compliment the luxurious L shaped Salon seating. The Hi-low table with stainless steel legs adjusts to accommodate extra sleepers. The Galley is equipped with a large refrigerator that includes a spacious freezer and microwave built into the cabinetry as a single unit. Ample counter space and storage enable meal preparation for entertaining large groups of guests. The portholes are all stainless steel which compliments the stainless steel trim beneath the Teak rails. The Teak rails have been maintained with 12 coats of varnish. Bow cushions are in excellent condition and two Marine Grade bean bag chairs offer comfortable star gazing. Extras include a brand new FX-37 Fortress Anchor, Simrad Robertson AP20, Hornet 4 sailing monitor, Hornet depth monitor, Express Danforth Constellation Hi speed Compass and Dominican reversible Heat/Air conditioning. This lovely Taiwanese built trawler will surpass your expectations on so many levels. You may be expecting to see lots of beautiful mahogany and you will, but this boat is exceptional in that category. The wood is gorgeous and the teak and holly floors are beyond gorgeous. You may be expecting to see a nice V-berth, well this is a V-berth you can actually function in. It’s got double closets on each side making this space extra deep and more than enough room to move around in. You may be expecting to see nice furnishings. You would expect correctly. Not only is everything on board pleasing to the eye, it’s all top quality and/or custom for this boat. The best part is, pretty much everything you see comes with the boat! You may be expecting to see a ding or a scratch or some fading here or there. That expectation would be wrong. She is in near perfect condition and shows like a brand new boat. You, also, may be expecting to see a dirty, cluttered engine room and high hours on the twin Cummins diesels, but you would be wrong, there again. The engine room is huge, organized and clean and the engines have low hours and run like Swiss watches.
So, if we haven’t convinced you yet, you may just have to make a trip over to Alameda island and take a look for yourself. You’ll be glad you did!
