The cams are the same from the 5.0 GL all the way to the 5.7Gi -

I'm about 99.9% sure it is the same cam. However, the GXi is using roller rocker arms instead of non rollar arms. These act like a slightly hotter cam at higher RPMS and that's where the extra power comes from, along with a reworked header and ECM program. here
