Wake boats are big V-drive motorboats capable of towing watersports riders through large wakes generated off the boat’s stern. Wakeboard boats contain inboard engines that face backwards to allow them to churn up the water in order to create these high wakes that are ideal for sports like wakeboarding and wakesurfing.
