Laddies is always right on the money. I don't doubt him. I wouldn't trust NADA for specs.
But my 2001 falls in the 112# category for my year. got the manual to prove it. It seems odd that the model 'grew' that much. It's ain't like they added another cylinder or starting using cast iron! here

Over the years the 20/25 HP model has been built in many different variables of cowlings at least 2 different power head castings plus some years are dry weight others are running weight. I don't think the manufacturers worry about to much, inless some other crows about being lighter. I hope we all have better things to spend our time on than worrying about a couple of lbs. [links]
