Utility trailers are used in many industries, from construction and agriculture to shipbuilding. If you're familiar with this market and have business acumen, you could become a trailer dealer. Big Tex Trailers, Featherlite and other trailer manufacturers looking for dealers provide the support you need to get started. Your job is to market their products, identify leads and raise brand awareness.

Depending on the state, trailer dealers may or may not need to complete a training program. The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, for instance, requires vehicle dealers to undergo at least six hours of online training. However, utility trailer and semi-trailer dealers are not subject to these regulations. Some states may require additional documents, such as a letter of authorization and signage permits.

Trailer manufacturers don't hire dealers. Instead, they build partnerships with them. If you plan to work as a utility trailer dealer, reach out to multiple companies to discuss their requirements. For example, Bix Tex Trailers expects its dealers to have a consistent branding strategy, strong marketing skills and in-depth knowledge of the local market. It also requires a minimum initial inventory, which depends on the market size. here

To register your snowmobile, complete a Snowmobile Registration Application (Form IL 422-0614) and submit it to:

You know you must title and register your passenger car, pickup truck, or motorcycle―but what about other types of vehicles? If you have a special vehicle, such as an all-terrain vehicle (ATV), snowmobile, or trailer, you may have to title and/or register it in Illinois. The process for each type of vehicle may differ, so it's important to know what you need to do to title/register it and which state agency you need to visit.

You must purchase a $25 trail pass if you're from out of state and your snowmobile is not registered in Illinois.

Be careful of scammers when selling anything of value these days. Fake Certified checks are common, most sellers today do cash transers at a bank before signing anything over. See this link to craigs list scams and advice http://www.craigslist.org/about/scams here

Yes, 2 copies of bill of sale with name, address and signitures. State of Illinois once came after me for a car I sold and was later abandoned and never registared to the buyer. I didn't keep a copy for myself and it ended up costing me tickets, towing and storage to the city of Chicago! Much more than what I received for the car. [links]

The boat itself is great except after 20+ years the floor has gone very soft in some areas. My husband was going to replace it himself as he is pretty handy but we never got the time so i'm selling it as is and letting people know about the floor. I've found great blogs and posts here about people re-doing the floor and have directed people who have inquired about it to this site. If it doesn't go this week then i think my hubby might just do the floor but then the price is going to go up!

I bought my boat from an Illinois seller a couple years ago. All she had to do was sign the back of the titles for both the boat and the trailer to indicate that she was transferring ownership to me.
