This company is run via the Internet, there are no local numbers. This company could be operating out of China. more
PODS (portable on demand storage) entirely misrepresented their storage, delivery, and redelivery fees. They add extra fees they do not tell you about, charge your card without authorization, and their customer service department (if you ever get a person) is rude and incompetent. [links]

Like the NTEA mentioned, all these issues lead to higher crash rates. According to the NTEA, large trucks that were severely over their GVWR caused over 3,500 deaths in 2016. As its name implies, GVWR is the maximum amount a truck can weigh before it starts causing problems. That said, it’s also important to know what GVWR isn’t. According to the Association for the Work Truck Industry (NTEA), a GVWR doesn’t cover what a truck tows. The rating for the combined weight limit of your truck and its trailer is called either a gross combined weight rating or a gross axle weight rating.
Trucks are reliable, durable, and most importantly, they’re powerful. But this doesn’t mean they’re invincible, and this is especially true when it comes to the payload capacity. Every vehicle has a gross vehicle weight rating, or GVWR, and exceeding this limit is very problematic. Here’s why.
These issues can get worse in poor condition. For example, when it rains, tires will get less traction, and this means it’ll take you longer to brake. If your truck is past its GVWR, then its handling issues will only worsen on a rainy day. This can lead to a deadly crash. more
Furthermore, there are practical reasons why a truck that exceeds its GVWR is a bad idea. Namely, it’ll strain your truck’s internal systems, like its suspension. By overloading your truck, this means you’ll have to pay more to get it fixed.
But there would have been a better chance of the truck being salvageable had the weight been introduced slowly. Put another way: Maybe things would have bent instead of snapped. As it sits by the end of the clip, I’m guessing the parts of that Ranger that hold its suspension together have been too misshapen to ever go back together correctly again. [links]

You could skip to the end and watch this poor old Ranger get what was most likely the final flogging of its life, but it’s so much more amusing to enjoy this clip from the beginning as the loader operator valiantly tries to lower this huge rock into the truck bed gingerly while onlookers provide advice from the sidelines.
For the record: If this rock had been placed in the bed of the Ranger as gently as the loader operator initially seemed to be going for, it still would have sunk the back half of the truck like a bathtub raft in the tumultuous sea of a Hokusai painting. more

Geoscience outfit EduMine has a table listing the weight of different materials by tons per cubic yard and plenty of other similar scales are out there.
